Nasce nel Bronx, New York, il timbalero Nicol\u00e1s Marrero, \u201cNicky\u201d Marrero. La sua prima registrazione la realizza a 15 anni con la banda originale di un altro adolescente nato nel 1950: Willie Col\u00f3n<\/strong>.
